Utah National Guard Stands Down

Governor Herbert has set today as the last day for the Utah National Guard to assist with cleanup efforts around Davis County. The last truck load taken to the Davis County Landfill in Layton by the Guard will be at 1100 hours. The last load taken to the landfill in Bountiful will be 1130 hours. The Utah National Guard is set for demobilization at exactly 1200 hours and then their mission will be complete in Davis County.

We want to thank Governor Herbert and the Utah National Guard for assisting in picking up the pieces throughout Davis County. Our cleanup efforts after the destruction would be miles away from where we are because of their assistance. Thank you!

Also, as a safety reminder to the public, during the hours of 11:00-1:00pm, please be aware that all of the Guard’s heavy equipment will be on the roadways returning from their mission. Please be cautious around them and give them plenty of room. Thanks again, to everyone involved in this effort!
