Sector 2, Virtual Ride Along

SECTOR 2 VIRTUAL RIDE-ALONG

What is a virtual ride-along?

On Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM – Sector Two, Deputy Hendrik Alberts will be working his regular duty shift, but he will allow the public to hop into his patrol vehicle, via Twitter, and experience a virtual ride-along.

Visit our Davis County Sheriff’s Office Twitter account, @DavisCountySO to follow his day.  And of course, you can follow @DavisCountySO on Twitter every day, and at Davis County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook every day.

DEPUTY HENDRIK ALBERTS

Deputy Hendrik Alberts was hired on with the Davis County Sheriff’s Office in July of 2010.  He is assigned to the Patrol Division, Sector 2, day shift.  Sector 2 areas of coverage are South Weber, parts of Kaysville, Layton and HAFB (for medical.)  Deputy Alberts is assigned to Sgt. Todd Taylor’s crew.  Deputy Alberts is a Paramedic, and graduated from Weber State University’s Paramedic Program.

Deputy Alberts was born in South Africa and lived there until 2003.  He met his future wife in South Africa, while she was on a Safari, and Hendrik was the guide.  They fell in love, got married and now he’s an American.   They have made their home in Davis County and have two boys and one dog.  Prior to working as a law enforcement officer, Deputy Alberts worked as a building inspector.

In his spare time, Deputy Alberts and his family love to travel.  Recently, they have visited the Dominican Republic, Guatemala  and South Africa.  Deputy Alberts and his family spend their off duty hours together as much as possible.   Camping is a favorite hobby (but only when it’s warm—he’s from South Africa!)  Join us on December 14th to follow along with his day.
